Model Selection between Integrated and Combined Rock Ripper Arms

General Information:

Generally, Model selection is mainly determined by several key factors as excavator tonnage, engine power and conditions or hardness of the concerned rocks or ground. According to different working conditions, there are mainly 2 types of rock booms that can be considered, one is integrated ripper arm which has only arm cylinder, no bucket cylinder, while the other is combined ripper arm which has both arm cylinder and bucket cylinder. They have different application and advantages. Customer can consider the following points during model selection:

√  If it's used for hard rocks and big model excavators above 90tons excavator, the best choice is to choose the combined-ripper-arm rock boom. If for soft rocks or ground, no matter small excavators as 36tons or 120tons, integrated ripper arm and combined ripper arm are both suitable.

√  The main advantage of the integrated ripper arm is it has a bit higher working efficiency and deeper digging depth for the application of soft rocks or grounds, because its working method is very simple and quick, only using the heavy falling force to break the rocks, while the seperated ripper arm also has its own advantage as it's flexible and powerful to handle or move the rocks no matter for hard or soft rocks and does not only using the heavy falling force. Its just like it has some more fingers that can impose the force altogether to the rocks, not only using the falling force. In this case, it protect a bit better than the integrated ripper arm and its cylinders do not meet problems easily, while the integrated ripper arm’s cylinder might wear a bit quicker than the combined ripper arm owing to the heavy impact force from the heavy falling and breaking.

√  Besides, seperated ripper arm has a bit lower budget cost than the integrated ripper arm and a bit lower repairing or maintenance cost.

√  Therefore, according to the above factors, we can understand that for a bit softer rocks or land, integrated ripper arm has better working performance and efficiency and 40tons~120tons excavator both suitable, while for a bit harder rocks or land, better use combined ripper arm and better select 90tons~180tons excavator to fit to it.
