Swamp Dumper (Swamp Dump Truck, Amphibious Transporter)

General Information:

Swamp Dumper (Swamp Dump Truck, Amphibious Transporter) is mainly used for material transportation, pipe laying and repairing, dredging works and hydrographic survey or geologic exploration etc.  They are perfect workmate with the dredging equipment as dredgers, amphibious excavators or mining equipment.

SUNTON ADT series amphibious dump truck could load materials ranging from 3tons to 15tons. The pontoons are equipped with 3 kinds of track systems including normal tracks, heavy duty tracks and rubber tires track system, which have different advantages on the costs, wearing-resistance and high traveling speed. The undercarriages are hydraulically driven by strong Doosan travel motors, TM60VC. It could move smoothly on both solid lands and soft terrains including marshes, swamps or open water areas as sea, lakes or rivers etc.

Product Features

√  Without adding extra pontoons, SUNTON swamp dumper (Swamp Dump Truck, Amphibious Transporter) could load 3tons to 15tons materials and travel on both solid lands and deep water areas. Pontoons size reaches to 11m*2m*1.7m (L*W*H).

√  The heavy duty track pontoons provided enough buoyancy for the essential pay load. The ground pressure of the machine is only 0.138-0.148 Kgf/cm2, which well solve the problems of machine sinking when it travels in soft lands or marsh lands with heavy payloads.

√  If it needs to be load more materials on deep water, we could provide extra auxiliary pontoons for more buoyancy. The payload could reach 80tons, but machine can not move onto the beach with the extra pontoons.

√  The heavy duty track system prolongs product service life time especially the track system. The moving will not wear the rollers quickly when the payload is very huge and it never damage the pontoons at all.

√  We replaced 4 sets travels motors with 2 sets biggest model Doosan heavy duty motors. This not only reduces the weight of the machine and by then reduce the wearing to the chains or tracks during moving, but also provide enough strong powers to the machine to travel smoothly in marsh lands or muddy lands that has much resistance.

√  Without moving undercarriage, the dumping hopper can rotated in 360 degree by controlling hydraulic system. Dumping is very easy and flexible.

√  Max. dumping degree reaches 50 degree, so the content in dumping hopper can be dumped easily and quickly. Max. grade ability is 30 degree, so it can move on different terrains.

√  We are specialized in manufacturing kinds of amphibious equipment and could provide integrated solution for many kinds dredging projects and supply kinds of equipment of dredging, pumping, screening and delivering etc, just as per customer’s applications and requirements.

Transportation

Swamp Cargo Carrier or Marsh Buggy could be shipped by container ship, RO-RO ship or bulk ship.

When it’s to be shipped by container ship, the machine is usually disassembled into 3 main parts in advance and loaded to the containers for ocean or long-distance shipment. In usual, one set medium size amphibious excavator usually uses 2x40’GPs plus 1x40’FR for shipment. When customer receives it, he will need one or two hours to reassemble it with help of one set 20-25tons crane and 2-3 persons at site.

If customer wants to receive a complete machine without being dismantled, just consider to ship it by bulk carrier or RO/RO ship. But we would like to remind the customer to pay attention to his local legal limit on the in-land transportation size firstly and then to determine which kind of ship to be selected. The transportation size of a complete set of marsh equipment without disassembling is usual beyond the in-land transportation limit. If customer insists on shipping the machine without disassembly, he could disassemble it for in-land transportation on the port after he receives it on the destination port.

In view of our experiences, the most cost-effective way to ship the machine is to disassemble it and ship the parts by bulk ship, but the shortcoming is that most bulk ships usually have only one shift in a month, much less than the container ships, which means the shipping time usually cost much more than container ships. Container ship and RO-RO ship shall be more or less same expensive but less shipping-time cost.
